Beaver Lake Health Services administers a number of community programs supporting a suite of community-based and community-delivered initiatives and strategies that collectively aim to improve health outcomes and reduce health risks in three targeted areas: children and youth, chronic disease and injury prevention, and mental health and addictions.

Wah-Pow Healing Lodge

The Beaver Lake Wah Pow Healing and Wellness Society is an accredited non-profit organization that delivers holistic alcohol and drug treatment programs to couples and singles who are ready to work towards sobriety.

Located 15 kilometers southeast of Lac La Biche, AB on the Beaver Lake Cree Nation. The centre provides an intensive 60 day holistic treatment program specializing in trauma and abuse. The program includes group sessions, role playing, video and PowerPoint presentations. All sessions, presentations and activities are mandatory for clients to attend.

Clients are housed in a shared, spacious, comfortable rooms or shared cabins. There is 24 hour security and counselling services on-site. Laundry and fitness is also available.
