Recreation at BLCN
The Recreation Department is committed to ensuring all Beaver Lake Cree Nation citizens have the opportunity to participate in programs and activities that promote healthy and active lifestyles. Our goal is to promote the health and wellness of our community by increasing the diversity of recreational services available, by improving existing facilities, by encouraging physical fitness, and by participating in organized sports.
Six Beaver Lake Cree Nation youth qualified to compete (track and field and soccer) in the 2017 North American Indigenous Games being held in Toronto July 19 – 23. We will be sending a group of drummers and dancers, as well, to participate in the Opening Ceremonies and to perform at the Cultural Village.
