The BLCN Director of Emergency Operations is reminding all motorists to use extra caution around school buses, bus stops and school zones as students return to school.
When a school bus has its red lights flashing and stop sign extended, motorists must stop and wait. Students may be entering or exiting the bus and crossing the roadway.
Motorists are also reminded that the school zone speed limit within the BLCN townsite is 30 km/h, 24 hours a day.
Please slow down, stay alert and watch for children, pedestrians and school buses.
