Notices of Motion for BLCN General Meetings. These provisions will take effect following the General Meeting held on August 20, 2026.
A call-out for agenda additions and Notices of Motion will be posted exclusively on the BLCN app 21 days before each scheduled General Meeting.
Members must submit proposed agenda items or Notices of Motion by email to executiveassistant@blcn.ca and communication@blcn.ca no later than 14 days before the meeting. The submission period will close at 4:30 p.m. on the deadline.
Notices of Motion must clearly explain their purpose. Motions concerning a possible violation of the BLCN Government Code of Ethics must identify the applicable portion of Section 4 of the Beaver Lake Cree Nation Traditional Governance Policies & Procedures and provide details of the concern.
Members introducing a Motion must attend the General Meeting for it to be heard. Only submissions that meet the stated requirements and deadlines will be added to the agenda.
The finalized agenda and meeting package will be posted on the BLCN app for verified BLCN members seven days before the scheduled meeting.
These provisions are intended to support more organized and efficient General Meetings. Members are encouraged to review the complete notice for all requirements.
